At what age can children start practicing water polo?

Children can start water polo training as early as 6-7 years old. In the beginning, the emphasis is on swimming, adaptation to the game and building a love for the sport. The earlier they start, the easier it is for them to develop the necessary skills and a sense of team play.

It is not mandatory. We have preparatory groups where children develop swimming skills in parallel with the basics of water polo.

How many times a week are the training sessions and where do they take place?

The frequency of training depends on the age group and the level of progress of the child - between 2 and 5 times a week. Trainings are held at the Primorski swimming complex, as well as at the Dolphins swimming pool (for beginners), Varna.

Swimming cap, goggles, swimsuit, flip-flops, towel. For competitors — club equipment.

Why choose water polo?

Because water polo is more than a sport — it's an adventure, friendship, and team spirit! In the pool, kids learn how to fight together, support each other, and celebrate their successes as a team. This is where true friendships are built, challenges are overcome, and memories that will last a lifetime are created.
Water polo develops the entire body — improving swimming technique, endurance, coordination, and strength. In addition to physical skills, it builds concentration, quick thinking, and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
It teaches discipline, responsibility, and teamwork — qualities that last a lifetime.
Water polo teaches confidence and courage — both in the water and in life.

Is there a trial period before signing up?

Yes — we offer 1 trial workout at no charge to make sure the sport is right for your child.

What are the criteria for inclusion in a competitive team?

Every competitive team is built by children who show desire, progress, and team spirit. You don't have to learn everything right away — it's important to work hard and with a smile.
Our coaches carefully monitor the progress of each child and when they deem them ready, they immediately give them the opportunity to join the competitive group and tournaments. We believe that with perseverance, diligence and a love for sports, every child can achieve this!
There is a chance for everyone who wants to move forward - we are here to support them along the way.

Do you offer training during the holidays?

Yes, we strive to continue the training process during the holidays – with a more flexible schedule and the possibility of combining it with rest. Intensive weeks or camps are often organized during the holiday periods.

Who is behind the club – who runs it and what is its vision?

The club is led by Nayden Naydenov – a long-time coach, chairman and a man who has dedicated his life to the development of water polo. With a vision of a sustainable sports club where every child receives attention, care and a chance to grow, he works side by side with a team of dedicated coaches and specialists.
We believe that water polo is not just a sport, but an educational tool – a school of character, discipline and friendship. Our goal is to build not only champions in the pool, but also confident, active and good people outside of it.
